Darlene worked at Lerners as a Legal Secretary for many years. But, she didn't stop there! She ran furniture stores in Chatham and London; knick-knack store in Sparta; antique booth in Woodstock antique mall and she spent a lot of her time dedicated to helping animals at Animal Aid. Darlene also had a talent for finding treasures at thrift stores, where she would then either gift to her family, or sell them on EBAY. Some may say, she had an EBAY addiction.
Her list of social activities was nearly endless. Her most favorite were line dancing and spending time with the ladies of her Ya-Yas group.
Most importantly, Darlene loved her family with all of her heart and soul. She loved to be around her family...she NEVER missed a birthday, anniversary or any important event that was going on in their lives.
She was well known for her standing coffee order. She would usually text before her arrival making sure, things were ready. Darlene was funny, brilliant, well organized and an all around amazing woman.
She will be terribly missed by her life partner, John and his son, Chris and daughter Shannon with their extended family. Cherished by Nicole (Troy) and their children Alissa, Weston, Sophia and Grayson. We can't forget Abi, Darlene's fur-baby will miss her cuddles.
Her loss will be felt in the hearts of many, near and far, family and friends alike.
A Memorial Service will be held on November 8th at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas Street, London). Visitation will begin at 10am with a service to begin that same day at 12 noon.
Interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Darlene's memory to a charity of your choice.
