Willis Francis Edwards "Buddy"

Beloved husband of Kathleen Saari for 41 wonderful years. Loving father of Kathryn (Mark) Ogletree, Willis Edward (Trey), John (Darlene) Edwards, and Matthew (Christine) Edwards. Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Nicholas, Michael, John, Cameron, Connor, Chase, John Jr. (J.J.) and Cora. Dear brother of Danny (Janet) Edwards of Savannah, GA, William (Rusty) Edwards of Richmond, VA, and brother-in-law of Carolyn Betts, Shirley (Jack) Denier, Jeanette Saari, and Marilyn Saari. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Buddy graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Old Dominion College, the Norfolk college of William and Mary College in Virginia. He was a member of the Livonia Ski Club for many years and he also attended Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church since 1968, where he served as a Deacon, involved with the Men's Prayer Breakfast and was always willing to help with any activity where he was needed; he was always there.

Buddy loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart.

Buddy served in the Army National Guard and Civil Air Patrol.

He had his own construction business. Being an architect, he would critique other buildings or homes and tell me how he would have designed them and I would tell him "Buddy it's not your building or house."

He worked for F. Lax Construction these last years as an estimator for barrier free design. He loved doing this and treated all of his clients as family.

Last summer, we spent almost every night on our patio listening to 50s or 60s music where he would share crackers and cheese with his dog, Bailey.

He will be missed by so many, but I will miss him forever until we meet again.
