Mary Lou was born October 28, 1940, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph and Agnes (Smith) Buck. Mary Lou was married to the love of her life, James Broome, and they shared many wonderful years together until James’s passing in 2004. Mary Lou was a hardworking and dedicated employee for over twenty-seven years at AAA of Michigan. She was an incredibly creative woman, and always found ways to make the best of things; she could make a lot with a little. Whether it be making imaginative costumes for her children, or painting with watercolors in her free time, she had a real eye for beauty.
Mary Lou had a soft spot in her heart for animals, and she loved flowers, Billy Joel, and Jesus. She was a devoted member of the congregation at Covenant Community Church in Redford and greatly enjoyed the fellowship with the friends she made there. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes; and her beloved husband, James Broome.
