Marjorie Ruth Butler, age 98 of Livonia, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023. Beloved mom of Gloria Butler, Janice (Dave) Lumley, late Virginia Rowley (1950-2020), and late Marcia Pickerell (1954-2016). Loving grandma of Aleks, Jon, Scott, Megan, Meredith, Adam, Lauren, Rachel, and Jessica. Cherished GG of 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was known for being a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was always the top priority in her life, actively participating in their school and church events. After raising her children, she worked as the secretary for the manager of the Michigan State Fair from 1977-1991.
The Butler family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Woodhaven Retirement Community in Livonia. Donations may be directed towards the Michigan Humane Society.
A visitation for Marjorie will be held Sunday, January 29, from 3-8pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48152. A funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, January 30, at 10am at the funeral home. A livestream will be available.
