Kathryn "Kay" Corr

Her Legacy:

Kathryn ‘Kay’ Louise Corr, 88, passed away Thursday morning, September 8, 2022 at Henry Ford Hospital. Kay was the Matriarch of this family. She was born on March 12, 1934, in Owosso, Michigan to Russell LaRowe and Norma Sexton. She married her sweetheart Jack in 1955 in Redford, Michigan. Kay loved reading, crossword puzzles, movies, shopping, going to Vegas with the ‘Vegas girls’, and her family. An astute business woman, she spent the majority of her working years in banking at Metropolitan Savings (later Empire of America) and retired from Comerica Bank.

Her Family:

Kay will be greatly missed by her children, Kevin (Pat), Deborah (Dennis) Simpson, David (Paula), grandchildren Kevin, Doug (deceased), Jason (Brittany) Ashley (David), Stephanie (Erika), Chris (Kristen), Jim (Corey), Karen, Kelsey (Nick), Jonathan (deceased), & Haley, several great-grandchildren, her Sister-In-Law Sarah (Leo), many loving cousins, nieces & nephews and all the kids from the old neighborhood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack (1976), her parents Russ and Millie LaRowe & Norma and Jerry McCauley, brother Harland and Helen LaRowe, daughter Lori (Dennis) McShane, and son Michael (Liz) Corr.

Her Farewell:

Kay's family and friends will gather Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from Noon – 4:00pm, at Harry J Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI. 48152. Her service will follow at 4:00pm. We welcome donations (in lieu of flowers) to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
