Janet Rose Piper

Janet Piper, 62 of Brighton, MI/Farmington Hills, MI passed away after a hard-fought battle with congestive heart failure and end stage renal disease on Friday July 29, 2022, at Ascension Hospital Novi.

Janet was the adored daughter of the late Ronald and Shirley Piper. Dear sister of Cheryl (late Michael) Gutowski and Lisa (Rick) Jeffers. Cherished Aunt of Jessica (Derek) Battah and Michelle (Kevin) Jozefczak and Great Aunt to Keegan Battah, Piper Battah, and Tessa Jozefczak.

Janet was born to Ronald and Shirley Piper on December 27, 1959, and was raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1978 and attended Oakland Community College.

Janet was known by all as a loving and compassionate person. She would readily give a person in need her last dollar and would do anything in her power to see someone smile. Janet had a great love and compassion for all animals, especially dogs. She was preceded in death by her beloved Teddy (Maltese and Pomeranian), whom she dearly missed. Janet's face would light up in a huge smile anytime she was able to have a visit with a dog or cat. Her extreme dream was to establish a dog rescue once she won the lottery.

Janet had a special connection with angels as evidenced by her beautiful collection. Although Janet will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her, we celebrate that she has adorned her own angel wings and has joined some important angels in her life, her mom, dad, good friend Christy and Teddy.

Janet, soar free of the earthly limitations and know that we love you!

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Michigan Humane Society or a Dog Rescue of your choice.

Celebration of life visitations will occur at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, located at 37000 Six Mile, Livonia MI 48152 on Friday August 5, 2022, from 3-8PM and Saturday August 6, 2022, from 10-12PM with service at 12PM with luncheon following the service.
