Edwin H. Kendrick

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Esther (Mueckler) Kendrick.

Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Cecilia; sister, Katherine (the late Donald) Tyson; daughter Christine (Gerard) Michalak, sons Michael Kendrick and Kenneth (Alesha) Kendrick; grandchildren Joseph, Matthew and Michael Michalak, Kale Kendrick, Trinity, Breean, Hailey and Dylan Kendrick.

Ed was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 3, 1940. He attended St. John Lutheran School and Mackenzie High School before serving in the United States Navy. It was while he was stationed in Puerto Rico that he met his wife, Cecilia. They were married in Puerto Rico on June 29, 1963. Ed had a successful career as an accountant for nearly 40 years before retiring to spend more time enjoying his favorite hobby, which was golf. Ed also enjoyed travelling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He has many cousins who have fond memories of large family gatherings every year on Christmas Eve.

A visitation for Edwin will be held Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral in state will occur Monday, October 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48154 with a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
