Donna Rae Avery

Beloved wife of Duane Avery. Loving mother of Theresa Krzeminski, Christopher (Liticia) Avery, Johnathon (Theresa) Avery, David (Eugina Bradley) Avery, and Elizabeth (Steve VanDusen) Avery. Cherished grandmother “Granny” of Jason Todd, Kady Krzeminski, Edward Krzeminski, Trevor Krzeminski, Emma Avery, Ava Avery, Noah Avery and the late Bryan Avery. Dear daughter of David Sr. and Joyce Young and daughter-in-law of Katherine Avery. Dearest sister of Chris Flores, David (Debbie) Young, Cindy Young, and sister-in-law of Linda (Kenneth) Doud and brother-in-law Ronald (Marsha) Avery.

Donna is preceded in death by her grandson Bryan Avery, nephew David Young and father-in-law Floyd Avery.

Donna was the heartbeat of the Avery family. She had five kids by blood, but many others through love. She was kind hearted but strong. If she loved you, you felt it deeply. Her kids were her world, Duane was her rock, and her grandkids were her gifts. She poured her heart into everyone and everything, including her love for travel (especially long road trips), her beloved Detroit Tigers, and making every holiday an occasion to behold. Between Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, family birthdays, and Christmas, Donna would make incredible spreads that could feed the family for days. There are few people who have touched as many lives as deeply as Donna did, and she will be forever missed.

A visitation for Donna will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Harry J Will Funeral Home.
