Diane Harriett Lewis, age 71, of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. She is survived by her loving sister Deb Hoemke. Dear aunt of Lukas, Ethan (fiancee Madison) and grand-niece Brinley, Nickolas (Jenni), and Bryce (fiancee Emma) Hoemke, Trevor (Jamie) Lewis. Beloved sister-in-law of Jane Lewis. She will be especially missed by fur-babies Button and Zipper. Diane was preceded in death by parents James and Gloria Lewis, and brother David Lewis.
Diane obtained her master's degree in teaching from Eastern Michigan University. She spent her career first at the Archdiocese of Detroit for ten years before joining the South Redford School District, where she taught special education for 26 years. Diane enjoyed spending time on Harsens Island, weekly Sunday barbeques at her sister's home in Howell, and spending time with her many friends. Diane was a one-of-a-kind person and will be greatly missed by all.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 21, from 4:00-8:00pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48152. An in state will be held Friday, December 22, at 9:30am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:30am.
