Christopher Leonard Valerio

Christopher "Christo" Leonard Valerio, beloved brother, uncle, great uncle, and cherished friend, passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on January 1, 1947, to Pasquale "Pat" and Rose Valerio.

Christo will be deeply missed by his loving sister, Patricia (Patty Valerio Swica) and brother-in-law Frank Swica , his treasured niece and nephews, AnnaMaria Sala, David Swica, and Gregory Swica, as well as his adoring great-nieces and great-nephews—Karinsa Swica, Analise Sala, Quinten Swica, Louis Sala, Aiden Swica, Madeline Swica, and Carson Swica. He was also the devoted and loyal companion to his dog, Dawg, who brought him great comfort and joy.

A man of great heart, Christo was known for his love of life, his kindness, and his fierce loyalty to those he held dear. He was a longtime member of the Penetrators Biker Club of Detroit, where he earned the nickname "Christo." For over 40 years, the club was his second family, and biking was his passion. His love for the open road took him across the United States, and he even journeyed as far as Alaska, sharing adventures and building lifelong bonds with his fellow bikers.

Christo’s heart was as big as his spirit, and his presence in the lives of those who knew him was one of unwavering generosity, warmth, and humor. Whether on the road or at home, Christo had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. His adventurous soul, his zest for life, and his ever-optimistic outlook will be forever remembered.

Christopher will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, where he will join his parents in eternal peace
