Russell E. Muller

Russell retired from Emerson Process Management where he was diagnostic and communications specialist. He served his country in the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He received his Engineering and MBA degrees from NYU.

Russell is survived by his beloved wife Laraine Muller, his daughter Christina, —his son Russell, his granddaughters Daphne and Phoebe and siblings Judy Greco and Tom Muller.

Russ was a very caring and compassionate person. He is past president of Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge and always adopted rescue animals. He was a conservationist who volunteered to assist in the clean-up of the South Mountain Reservation. He also donated to many non-profit organizations.

Russ loved the outdoors, taking daily hikes and walks in the Reservation, and enjoyed boating. An avid reader, Russ was a regular patron of the West Orange Library.

He enjoyed the arts, attending concerts, operas and Broadway shows frequently. He also performed many roles with the Ridgewood Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, where he met his wife, Laraine. He also performed with the NY Grand Opera and Opera at Florham.

A memorial gathering will be held at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ, on November 19, 2022, from 2-5 PM with a service at 4:30 PM.
