Rosetta was born in New York City, NY, to Alexander Vincent Busby and Anna Fields Busby. She lived the early part of her life in Jersey City, graduating from St. Aloysius High School and attending Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City. While in high school she met the love of her life, Jim and they would later move to Lake Parsippany in 1958 where they raised their beautiful family and lived for the next 39 years before moving to Toms River, NJ. She worked for Artisan Electronics Corporation and the Parsippany Board of Education for many years before retiring.
Rosetta was a loyal NY Yankee’s fan and especially loved Derek Jeter. She could often be heard in the stands at Spring Training telling him to put sun screen on. She was a longtime member of the Parsippany Elks Woman’s Auxiliary Club, and a member of the Silver Ridge Park North Woman’s Club. She loved to knit and would make any new baby in the family a sweater and blanket when they were born. She also loved to sew. Rosetta was beyond devoted to family, she could be found at just about any game or event her grandchildren were participating in and loved to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren whenever possible.
Rosetta is preceded in death by her devoted husband James J McCauley and her only son James V McCauley. She is survived by three daughters, Maryann (Jeff) Kay of Seminole, FL, June Caron of Lomita, CA and Diane (George) O’Sullivan of Douglassville, PA and a daughter in-law, Cheryl McCauley of Denville, NJ. 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren (with one more on the way), and two great-great grandchildren.
