She was born and raised in Newark to the late Dora (nee Marmo) and Carmine Notare, Sr. Upon marrying the love of her life, Joseph, she resided in Bloomfield and Belleville for 30 years before moving to Whippany in 1997.
Rose Marie worked as a seamstress and head cashier for the Janette Shop in Nutley for 18 years retiring in 1997. In her retirement, she enjoyed tending to her flowers, travelling with her husband and children, and her greatest passion, baking and cooking for her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Meloia, cherished mother of Robin Marie Fopma and her husband Brian and Dawn Marie Meloia, loving sister of Carmine Notare, Jr., Gerard Notare, Robert Notare and his wife Susan, and the late Amelia Saliceti, Josephine Notare, Gloria Vinticinquo, Andrew Notare, and Richard Notare, dear sister in law of Theresa Notare, Vincenza Notare, and Carol LeMoult and her husband Rett and the adored aunt of many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 3-7 pm at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. in Livingston.
Prayer services are being conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 10 am followed by the entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
