Peter was born in New York City to Betty and Emil Leepson on July 2nd, 1941. He spoke fondly of his time playing football at Horace Mann and spending summers at Camp Everett. He attended Brandeis University and Fordham Law School and went on to a successful career in real estate law throughout the tri-state area. He was well known for his movie collection and love of movies and the theater. Peter could always be counted on to make you laugh and had a Dad-joke ready for any occasion. He will be remembered as a true friend, a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, cousin, and uncle to many.
Peter was the devoted husband of Ellen Tamaroff, the beloved father of Jonathan Leepson and Janet Lefkowitz, David Leepson and Marieh Delfino, Brian and Susan Leepson, Jennifer Leepson, Michelangelo and Hilary Sosnowitz, Holly Sosnowitz, Rachel and Gregg Brody, Jaclyn Tamaroff and Kaushik Amancherla, and the proud grandfather of Nettie, Daisy, Samuel, Kate, Benjamin, and Jude Leepson, Julian and Lena Sosnowitz, and Ryder Brody.
Services will be held at 1PM on Monday, January 15th, 2024 at Congregation Beth El at 222 Irvington Ave, South Orange, NJ 07079. The family will sit Shiva from January 15th to the 19th.
