She was born in Bayonne, NJ on March 17, 1930 to Irving and Irene (Bolstein) Bermann. A graduate of Hackensack High School, she was a longtime resident of Paramus, NJ and clerical employee of the County of Bergen. In her retirement, she trained to be a professional clown, providing entertainment at schools, corporate events and senior centers.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Greene, and by her brother, Leslie Bermann. She is survived by her children Lee (Pureza) of Medford, OR, Jayne (Louis Viola) of Livingston, NJ, and Marc of Coram, NY and grandchildren Cassandra (Jacob Chamoun) of San Mateo, CA and Max of Livingston, NJ.
A memorial celebration of her life will be conducted at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Funeral Chapel on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
