Judith Stern Goldberg, 81, of South Orange, NJ died June 20, 2015. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she also resided in Philadelphia, PA and Short Hills, NJ.
She was extremely passionate about her community, having served as board member of the American Jewish Committee, Temple B’nai Jeshurun and Mountain Ridge Country Club.
Judy was an avid bridge player, earning a Bridge Life Master title, and a world traveler, visiting 5 continents and guiding others on their trips during her 40-year career as a travel agent. In her spare time, she enjoyed life surrounded by her dear friends, near and far.
A loving partner, mother, grandmother and friend, Judy is predeceased by her husband, Harold H. Goldberg Jr., and is survived by her long time significant other, Daniel Weiss; her three daughters, Susan Strouse Abramowitz, Karen Strouse Beno and Kathy Strouse Pandorf; sister, Charlotte Stern Conston; brother, Harvey Stern; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
Services will be held at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapter on Monday, June 22 at 12pm. Memorial contributions may be made to The Valerie Fund.
