Ed grew up in Montclair, NJ and always shared how much he loved spending his childhood there, especially spending time with one of his biggest influences Pete Seabron. Ed then moved to Rockaway, NJ where he started his family. He later moved to Livingston, NJ where he continued to grow his family and spent the last 21 years. Ed was a contractor for more than 40 years and was affiliated with Pella Windows throughout his career, otherwise known as the Pella Fella.
Ed was a third-degree member and a new officer of the Columbian Association of the Knights of Columbus in Livingston, NJ. He was also a member of the Livingston Elks and the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh in West Orange, NJ. Ed was a faithful member of St Philomena’s parish in Livingston.
Anyone who knew Eddie O knew he was always the life of the party. He loved spending time in Maine with his family and having many backyard BBQs. Ed loved to go on fishing trips, snowmobiling trips or spend time golfing with his many friends. He truly enjoyed his life and would always say, “What do you call this? Livin!” Ed was a very kind soul to everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Ed was grateful and lucky to have finally found and met his paternal side of the family thanks to his cousin Daisha Green.
Ed was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Cepeda and father Robert Edward Schofield.
He is survived by his beloved wife JoAnne “Jokid” (Curry) O’Donnell of Livingston, NJ. He is also survived by his loving children Christina O’Donnell of Hamilton, NJ, Paige Barkley and her husband Rick of Rockaway, NJ, Renae O’Donnell of Rockaway and Eddie, Erin and Molly of Livingston, NJ. His siblings John Torres of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Scofield of Scottsdale, AZ, Staci Cornelius and her husband Lance of Milford, DE and Todd Schofield and his wife Sue of Roseville, CA. As well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
