Virginia Elizabeth Raper Harrison, 89, left her earthly home to be with her heavenly Father on November 29, 2015, with her family holding her hand. Virginia was born in Little Rock on February 2, 1926, to Albert C. and Ola Raper. She is survived by two children, Gail York (Cline) and Blake Harrison (Cristy), four grandchildren, Kim Pack, Kevin Pack (Melissa), Taylor Harrison and Molly Harrison, along with five great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by brother, Troy Lamar Raper and his wife Margaret Raper, along with nieces and nephews, and two additional sisters-in-law, Rita Rogers and Vickie Lea. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother A.C. Raper, Jr. and his wife Mary Katherine Raper, brother, Nolan Raper and his wife, Alice Raper. She loved her family and friends and she will be greatly missed. She will remain in our hearts forever. Virginia worked for Worthern Bank in her early years, became a mother and housewife, and then retired from Fred and Jack Trailer Sales. Virginia was a loving mother who exemplified compassion for other people. She was not someone who needed material things to make her happy and found contentment living a simple life. The family would like to give special thanks to all the loving and caring staff at Greystone Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cabot, Arkansas. A memorial service will be Thursday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m. at All Souls Church in Scott, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Youth Archery Range, AWA, P. O. Box 661, Lonoke, AR 72086.
