Vicki Lynn Holloway, 72, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, May 29th. She was a long time resident of Little Rock, having graduated from Hall High School in 1967 and the St. Vincent Infirmary School of Nursing in 1970 where she finished at the top of her class. She was a registered nurse for 10 years and continued in the medical profession until her retirement in 2015.
Nurturing the sick and weary back to health was her passion. Vicki will always be remembered by those who knew her for her advocacy for women’s rights, intense love for all things Razorbacks, and her quirky carrot gelatin salad at Thanksgiving.
“Sister” or “Aunt Sister” is survived by long- time friend Karen Barnwell; brother John Holloway and his wife, Stacie, of Little Rock; nieces, Lauren (Ryan) Lowe of Fayetteville, Lindsey Holloway of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ; nephew, John Patrick Holloway of Fayetteville; great-nieces, Alli and Riley Lowe of Fayetteville; uncle, Russell Robken of Midland, Texas, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Pat Holloway.
Vicki was baptized at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church with her brother in 1977. She served the church in several capacities over the years. Her final resting place will be at the PHUMC Columbarium with a private family service following.
