Irving Kuperman, 96, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024. Born on March 23, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harry and Pauline Kuperman, Irving led a life dedicated to family, medicine, and community service.
A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1953, Irving practiced as an OB/GYN in Little Rock for 48 years. Throughout his distinguished career, he proudly delivered thousands of babies, touching countless lives in the process.
Irving was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 35 years, Karen Gulley Kuperman. He is survived by his six children: Dr. David Kuperman (Jennifer), Dr. Aaron Kuperman (Melissa), Dr. Michael Kuperman (Alina), Steven Kuperman (Brittney), Rachel Echnoz (Andy), and Rivka Kuperman (Clayton Aronowitz). He also leaves behind his niece, Kim Rehbein, and was a proud zeyde to six grandchildren.
A lifelong learner, Irving continued to pursue knowledge even after retirement, attending college classes for personal enrichment. He was a dedicated member of the Little Rock Jewish community, and one of his proudest accomplishments was helping to build Synagogue Agudath Achim.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00am at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home (5800 W 12th St), with Rabbi Mark Biller of Congregation Agudath Achim officiating. Interment will follow at Jewish Oakland Cemetery.

Irving's compassion, wisdom, and zest for life and learning will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
