Edna Wade

Our beloved Edna Jones Wade, 75, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed on November 26, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Edna was born September 30, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Amanda Wilson and V.H. Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie K. Veasey and two brothers, Ivan and Levornic Jones.

Edna was a member of New Life Church where she was an active member of several Life Groups. Edna attended Horace Mann (Class of 1962), Arkansas AM&N/UAPB and obtained her Business Degree from Draughon Business College. Edna retired from IBM as a Systems Engineer, and enjoyed a subsequent retirement from the City of Little Rock. At the time of her death, Edna was an outstanding Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, a member of L’Elite, Inc. and Akili Muata Book Club, as well as several other organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Roy L. Wade, Sr. of North Little Rock, AR; Daughter, Michele Wade of Memphis, TN; Sons, Roy L. Wade, Jr. (Tywanna) of Powder Springs, GA; and William B. Wade of North Little Rock, AR; Niece/Daughter, Danielle Veasey, North Little Rock, AR; Aunt, Josie L. Jones, Maumelle AR; Siblings, Josie Perry, Maumelle, AR; Wilma Harvey (Bill), Maumelle, AR; Larry Jones, Hockley, TX; Lola Robinson (John), Moreno Valley, CA; Grandchildren: Taleh B. Wade, Taybin B. Wade, Andrew J. Wade, DeAngelo Jackson-Adams, Kourtney Moore, Darius Hunter, and Victoria Amanda Stubblefield, as well as a host of nephews, nieces and many relatives and special friends.

Services for Edna Wade will be held at New Life Church, 8000 Crystal Hill Rd, North Little Rock, AR, Saturday, Dec 7, 2019; Family Hour at 11:00am and The Celebration of her life at 12:00pm.
