“POOBIE”
Clifton James Lawson "Poobie", 34, of Springhill, Louisiana, was called home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. He was born March 11, 1985, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Poobie worked for the city of Springhill for several years, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved entertaining the children in the local community.
He is survived by his loving father, Clifton Harden, his lifetime partner of over 18 years, Tiara Jones; loving children, J’Kobe, Tatyana, Ivyana and Peyton Lawson, all of Springhill LA; his sisters and brothers, Kim Hunt and husband Kevin of Arlington, Texas; Yolanda Lawson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Lacasha Lawson of Little Rock, Arkansas; Curtis Calton of Springhill Louisiana; Tina Rankin of Shreveport, Louisiana; Kendra Harden of Magnolia, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Diane Lawson, grandparents Mary Gene and Ottis Lawson; Mary Maggline and Clifton James Harden. His brother La’Dara Brown
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 17 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the CAC Building, 202 W. Church Street, Springhill, Louisiana where services will be held at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Saint Paul Cemetery Taylor, Arkansas.
Family also extends an invitation following cemetery services for all to join them for additional fellowship back at the CAC Building, where all will have opportunities to share fondest memories of how Poobie impacted their lives. Poobie was extremely respected and loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who have had the honor to be a part of his life.
