Richard Thomas Einhorn, age 74, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Born on May 4, 1949 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Harold and Ruth Einhorn.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Jeanne M. Einhorn; son, Richard H. Einhorn; brothers, Robert Einhorn, Raymond “Skipper” (Kim) Einhorn; nephew, Raymond Einhorn; closest friends George (Jean) Hyatt, brother firefighters Daniel Lyon and Bob Trubenbach; and golfing buddy Bob Ensey.
Formerly of New Jersey, Richard graduated in 1967 from St. Rose High School in Belmar. He attended and graduated from Seton Hall University in 1971 with a BA and taught English and Social Studies at Brick Township High School. Richard later retired from FEMA where he worked as a Flood Insurance Specialist for 20 years. He was also an Ex-Chief firefighter of Breton Woods Fire Co. in Brick, NJ and proud to be a life member of 51 years.
Richard and Jeanne relocated to North Myrtle Beach in 2012. A man of faith, Richard was a devout Catholic. In Richards’s free time, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with family, friends and his beloved German Shepherds; Heidi, Heidi II, Tara, Bridget and Scooter. Richard had a passion for golf, he loved traveling to different golf courses around the world to enjoy the game. He touched the lives of many and he will forever be remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
