Kyle Kennon passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was 30 years old. Born in Myrtle Beach, SC Kyle was the son of the late Robert H. and Margaret “Peggy” Griffin Kennon. He was the twin brother of Hayley Kennon.
Kyle attended North Myrtle Beach High School and North Myrtle Beach Christian School. He was studying to receive his associate’s degree in applied science at Horry Georgetown to transfer to Coastal Carolina to study psychology. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Kyle was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He enjoyed working out, gardening, and being outdoors. Kyle was a music enthusiast and attended many music festivals. He enjoyed playing xbox and studying American History. Kyle worked for Weatherguard Roofing where he was a roof salesman. He loved dinners out with his friends and frequented Outback Steakhouse and as well as any type of hibachi restaurant. Most importantly, he loved being a father to Catori Ray and time they shared together, especially on the beach, will be treasured. Kyle was loved by many and his unexpected death has touched the hearts of many people.
Surviving Kyle in addition to his twin sister, Hayley, is his daughter, Catori Ray Kennon; nieces, Jayda, Jaspen; nephew, Jasper Jackson, Jr., aunt, Kathy Griffin Hands; uncles, Richard (Linda), Bill (Lisa), Pat (Judy), and Michael (Ellen) Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marilyn Griffin, John Griffin, Virginia Kennon and Victor Kennon. He is also predeceased by his uncle, John Hands.
A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends following the service until 6:00 p.m.
