John Francis Barnes, 78, of Longs SC passed away on Saturday December 3, 2022, at his residence. Born on January 1, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of the late John F. and Anne Barnes.
He retired as a manager for Verizon prior to moving to Longs. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Saundra J. (Yates) Barnes; daughter, Lee Anne Deegan (John); Son, John F. Barnes (Oziria); five grandchildren, Amber Deegan, Abigail Deegan and Adalyn Deegan, Stephanie Barnes and Johnny Barnes; brother, Raymond Barnes (Debbie); Two sisters, Jacquelyn Bittner and Nancy Barnes.
The memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River.
