James Lafon “Buddy”, “Boom Boom” Quick, 71, died June 19, 2018 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 8, 1946 in Bennettsville, S.C., James was the son of the late Lloyd M. and Kathleen Scott Quick.
James is survived by his wife, Dawn P. Quick; son, Jim Quick; daughter, Jenny Quick Gentry, (Scott); step-son, Dylan Boren, (Megan); step-daughter, Audrey Boren Dvorak, (Scott); sisters, Carolyn Turner and Lois Ann Chavis; grandchildren, Will Collins, Mackenzie Gentry, Madison Gentry, Gunnar Dvorak.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 25, 2018, 2:00 pm at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, 410 6th Ave. South, North Myrtle Beach, S.C., with visitation to follow.
