1956 - 2021
Anthony (Pops) was born in Newark, Delaware on August 8, 1956. He spent most of his life in Newark and Elkton, Maryland before moving to Little River, South Carolina when he retired two years ago. Pops passed away suddenly from cancer on November 11, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his children and girlfriend.
Anthony is survived by his mom, Claire Rizzo. He is also, survived by his girlfriend, Kathy Galasso; his son Anthony Rizzo III; step daughter Renee Butz and Renee’s husband Scott Butz; and grandchildren Corrine Butz, Anthony Rizzo IV, and Michael Butz II.
As per his wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Anthony’s Life will be held in Spring, 2022.
Pop’s will be greatly missed by all who knew him for his zest for life, family, racing, boats, river and ocean.
