NORTH MYRTLE BEACH – Anthony Joseph "Tony" Augustine, Jr., 74, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina died Saturday, June 26, 2021, in the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina.
Mr. Augustine was born February 26, 1947, to the late Anthony and Susan Costin Augustine.
He graduated from Fayetteville Senior High School, received his B.S. from Campbell University in 1969 and his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1977.
He served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force as a B-52 Aircraft Commander and received a Distinguished Flying Cross and seven Air Medals and a Presidential Unit Citation for his service in Vietnam.
He was the National Sales Manager for Jensen Activewear in Norfolk, Virginia, National Sales Manager for American Apparel in Los Angeles, California and Regional Sales Manager for M.J. Soffe in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
He previously owned and managed Medico, Inc, an outpatient medical facility which he sold in 1986. He was also a Field Manager for Constructive Concepts and a Field Manager for Ryan Homes directly out of graduate school.
Mr. Augustine is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dolores Dickens Augustine; and his son Anthony Patrick Augustine and wife Lindsay of Pinehurst, North Carolina. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Addy and Carter Augustine of Pinehurst.
In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by one brother, Gene Augustine and his wife Maryon of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
