Anna Marie Jozephina Rasmuson

Anna Marie Jozephina Rasmuson, 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Born on March 26, 1944, in Tilburg, Holland, she was a daughter of the late Alphonsus and Jozephina Pijnenburg. They immigrated to the United States in 1952, where she grew up in Cooperstown, New York. Anna was a Roman Catholic and her faith remained strong throughout her life.

In 1976, Anna met James Rasmuson and the two were married on November 27, 1976. A talented artist and educator, Anna received her master’s degree in art education. She worked for 35 years in several New York School Districts. Following retirement, Anna and James moved to South Carolina in 2011.

Survived by her husband of 48 years James Rasmuson of Longs SC ,her sister Elsie Tipsword of LaGrange, GA, stepdaughter Kimberly Wagner, many nieces, nephews and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her brothers: Andreas Pijnenburg, Willy Pijnenburg, Alphonsus Pijnenburg, Hubert Pijnenburg and sisters, Mary Dimick and Johanna Rotter.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566.
