Ron married Shirley Valtman on April 9, 1960 and they were happily married for 64 years. They raised together three children – Debi Augusty, Ronald Jr (Carol) Eschach, and Dale (Lori) Eschbach.
He was the cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren. Ashley (Scot), Josiah (Kaylene), Brianna, Elizabeth, Susanna (Nate), Carissa (Hunter), Matthew, Martha, Grace, Silas, Miriam, Sarah, Blessing, Mercy, and Abe. He was also a great grandpa to two great grandchildren.
He proudly served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958. Ron loved fishing, hunting, country music, gardening and especially having family over.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 20 from 11:30 a.m. with a service starting at 1:45 p.m. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
