Robert Emmett Delaney Jr

The beloved son of the late Robert Emmett Delaney, Sr. and Virginia Mary Delaney (née Doyle), Bob earned his Master’s Degree from DePaul University, then had a long career in International Management with Navistar. When not working, Bob adored spending time with family, enjoyed golf, playing poker and watching Notre Dame football. Go Irish! He will be remembered as always being an optimist, a great conversationalist with a special twinkle in his eye, and forever missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Lawrence (the late Andrea) Delaney, and his grandson, Aiden Delaney. Bob is survived by his son, Kevin Delaney, and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Delaney; his sisters, Kathleen (William) Domm and Ellen Delaney; nieces Jacqueline Moriarty (Benjamin Maki) and Sherri (Kory) Burton, nephew Sean Delaney (Trish Gorecki), great nephews Jack Burton and Eoin Delaney; cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.
