Norman Charles Benson, born at home in Downers Grove on March 23, 1925, passed away August 5, 2015, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 68 years to the late Madeline Priscilla Benson; Cherished father of Norma L. (Chuck) Stiefel, Carol F. (Steve) Dann, and William A. (Cheryl) Benson; Proud grandfather of Lisa Robson, Brent (Stacey) Stiefel, Daniel (Meghan) Stiefel, Kelly (Jason) Kruegel, Karen Adams, William Jr., Stephen, Scott, Holly, Nicole, Jacqueline and Kelsey Benson; Precious great-grandfather of 14; Fond uncle and friend to many. Norman served in the United States Navy from 1943-1945. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
