Wayne Albert Roberts

1954-2021

LISBON Wayne A. Roberts, 67, passed away Saturday, October 30th, 2021 while deer hunting.

He was born April 24, 1954 in Lisbon Falls the son of Henry A. and Pearl L. (Skelton) Roberts

Wayne graduated from Lisbon High School in 1972 and the University of Maine, Bangor in 1974 with an Associate’s Degree in Forestry.

Wayne Worked at Pejepscot Paper Company for 11 years and then Bath Iron Works for 29 years as a pipefitter, retiring at age 62.

On September 24, 1977 he married Christine Vachon in Lisbon, being happily married for 44 years.

Wayne played baseball, football, basketball, softball, and volleyball in many state tournaments and 9 regional softball tournaments, but his passion was hunting and fishing. He also loved to snowmobile, 4 wheel and motorcycling.

He is survived by his wife Christine; son Gary and wife Andrea; granddaughter Adriana, and his mother Pearl Roberts; a sister-in-law Joyce Severance and husband Robert of Lisbon; brother-in-law Russell Vachon and wife Donna of Auburn; four nephews Matthew Vachon, Derek Vachon, Scott Faherty, and Dustin Vachon; a niece Nicole Faherty.

Wayne was predeceased by his father Henry, a brother-in-law Paul Vachon, and many aunts and uncles.

Memorial visitation will be held 3-5 pm Friday, November 5th at the Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Lisbon Falls with a memorial service following the visitation.
