Lynn Downey

Lynn M. Downey (MacFadden), 77, passed away on October 7, 2024, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lynn was born on September 19, 1947, in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. She graduated from East Brunswick High School and continued her education at Rutgers University (Biology/Pre Medicine) and Seton Hall University (BSN CCRN) earning double masters and worked as a registered head nurse in the ER/OR/ICU.

Lynn loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed crocheting, reading, camping, baseball and having a Pepsi while playing Yahtzee.

Lynn is predeceased by her beloved husband, James R. Downey. Lynn is survived by her children, Michael and Kristine Downey, and Colleen (Downey) and Colin Daughterty as well as her grandsons

Friends and family are kindly invited to attend a memorial service for Lynn on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint Georges Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of choice.
