Luz Mary Londono

Luz Mary Londono, age 70, of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Luz Mary was born March 14, 1952 in Medellin, Colombia to the late Agustin de Jesus Ortiz and Zoila Rosa Serna. Luz Mary was married for 48 years to her late husband Ramon and is survived by their two daughters Maria Cristina Barra and her husband Francisco and Marly Londono. Luz Mary is the cherished grandmother to Jennifer Barra, Jessica Barra, Gabriela Barra, Emanuel Barra and Nathalia Barra, Gabriel Alexander Flores and Isabella Flores. Luz is the loved Great-Grandmother to Kai'lo Adrian Morales. Luz Mary is the beloved sister to her siblings Maria Nuria Ortiz Serna, Jairo Arturo Oriz Serna, Luz Miriam Ortiz Serna, Jesus Antonio Ortiz Serna, Diego Luis Ortiz Serna, Marta Nelly Ortiz Serna, Clara Nazareth Ortiz Serna, Gladys Amada Ortiz Serna, Maria Elcy Ortiz Serna, and her late brother Jose Alfredo Ortiz Serna.

Luz Mary is an EXTREMELY DEVOUTED catholic, she was employed at Fedex for 19 years and took early retirement to care for the health of her husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimers. She cared for him at home until his date of death 5/4/2018. She is an active member of the church and member of the Ministerio Catolico de Intecesion "Alma Misionera". She was loved by everyone she came in contact with, she leaves a great emptiness feeling in all of us. She will be missed by all that knew her, may she rest in eternal peace.

A visitation for Luz Mary will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary & St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 215 Court Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07206. A funeral mass will occur Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 215 Court Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07206. A committal service will occur Friday, May 27, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at 9781 - Mount Olivet Cemetery, 158 Mount Olivet ave, Newark, NJ 07114.
