Dolores, beloved wife of Harry Winegar, devoted mother of Kristopher Stark (Pamela), cherished step-mother to Michelle Burdett (Christopher) and Lauren Winegar (Mac McMeans), passed away peacefully on April 21st, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Dolores was born on July 11, 1952 in Queens, NY, the eldest of three children born to the late Thomas and Francis Gagliardi. She is survived by her siblings Joseph Gagliardi and Pat Gagliardi. Dolores will be remembered fondly as “Grandee” by her 9 grandchildren Taylor, Jaxon, Madeline, Daniel, Gwendolyn, Breken, Gunnar, Corbin, and Kendall. She adored her family and found immense joy in spoiling her grandchildren. Dolores dedicated herself to a rewarding career at Linens and Things and Christmas Tree Shop, culminating in her retirement in 2022. She had a unique gift for turning coworkers into lifelong friends. Whether it was sharing stories over lunch breaks or supporting each other through busy seasons, Dolores had a way of fostering a sense of belonging among her coworkers.
Dolores possessed a deep love for Broadway, gardening, organization, and music, with a particular fondness for the melodies of Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, and the enchanting performances of Luciano Pavarotti. She also loved traveling with her husband Harry to Italy, Greece, France, and many National Parks. She found immense joy in embarking on family adventures, including a memorable trip to Disney World this past year, where they created treasured moments together.
A memorial honoring Dolores' life will be held on Saturday, April 27th, from 10 am to 2 pm at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, located at 2124 East Saint George Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036.
