Robert Otis Davidson

Robert (Bob) Otis Davidson, 80, of Waverly passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his residence. Bob was born January 6, 1942 to Leatha (Findley) and Otis Davidson in Los Angeles, CA. Bob is survived by his wife Darlene of 61 years, children Bridget GreenLee of Lincoln, NE; Leslie (Shawna) Davidson of Parks, AR; Kimberly (Dormer) Davidson of Waverly, NE; Rochell (Travis) Frazier of Eagle, NE ; Siblings, Annette Wiley Jones, Danny Wiley, Denny Wiley; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob's dad Otis Leslie died in WWII when Bob was 3 years old. His mother moved to Missouri shortly after, where he grew up. Bob graduated from Albany High School in Albany, Mo in 1959. After graduation, Bob traveled to Lincoln, NE on his way to move back to California to visit his aunt and uncle, where he later met Darlene. Together they had 4 wonderful children and moved to an acreage out by Waverly, NE where they raised their family and lived until just recently. During that time, Bob worked as a steamfitter & plumber with Unions 88 and 464. In 1991 he opened Davidson Plumbing and Welding. He sold the business to his son Stuart in 2007. His son unfortunately died from Covid on September 2, 2021 and Stuart's family is now operating the business that Bob had started.

Bob had a passion for 1958 Fords. In his retirement years, Bob and Darlene showed those cars at many car shows and won lots of trophies and awards. Those that knew him and had the privilege to see his beautiful collection were very lucky. He was very proud of his Fairlanes, T-birds, rancheros, and trucks to name a few. He also loved to tell stories and jokes.

Bob and Darlene were lucky enough to do a lot of traveling. They have been from Hawaii, to Mexico, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Egypt, Russia, Bahamas to name a few.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Leatha and Otis, Stepfather Ray Wiley, Son Stuart and Granddaughter Brittany Davidson.

Celebration of Life/Open House will be Sunday October 16th at 12:00pm out at the farm in Waverly.
