Kirk Bell

Kirk William Bell passed away unexpectedly at his home June 20, 2022. He was born April 14, 1958 in Lincoln to parents Keith and Elizabeth (Libby) Bell. He attended school in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1976.

Kirk enlisted in the US Navy in 1978 and studied aviation fundamentals. His last assignment was aboard the USS Constellation. He was honorably discharged in 1982 and continued his service in the Naval Reserve until 1984.

He worked as a steelworker and various other jobs after his discharge.

He enjoyed archery and collecting guns. He also enjoyed reading and driving fast cars.

He was a loving son and helped care for his aging parents, making it possible for them to remain in their home until their death.

Kirk was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by an aunt, Evelyn Bell of Minnesota and numerous cousins.

A graveside service for Kirk will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. The Service will be in the Old Chapel, located at Gate 2 of the Cemetery.

Military Honors will be presented by the United States Navy and the American Legion Post #3.

Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
