James “JP” Paul Weber, age 81, of Lincoln, passed away at home on June 3, 2024, from a lung disease. Born May 30, 1943, Omaha, Nebraska. Parents Paul and Ethel Weber. Siblings, Mary Beth Weber Sullivan, Margo Weber Morrisey husband Mike Morrisey, and Eileen Weber Middleton. Graduated from Pius X High School in 1961. Joined the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1964. JP was a member of the Capital City Ford and Mustang Club. He was a member of the Mustang Club of America for 20 years. He also was on the Board of Directors for Mustang Club of America for 14 years. He was a Conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe for 40 years. Played gold for many years. Loved Mustangs and working on them. He restored his own 1966 Ford Mustang GT. Showed in many national, regional, and local shows for many years. He was a Gold Card judge for the MCA. He was also a member of the Lincoln Garden Club. He had many many friends from railroad, golf, and car shows.
JP is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy A. Weber; son, Paul James Weber; stepson, Shane Richard Kreis (Cathi); granddaughter, Katelyn Kreis; sister-in-laws, Linda Idean and Jill Slocum; brother-in-law, Jack Slocum (Cindy); nephew, Andrew Goodyear and family; niece, Windy McCormick and family; niece, Deann (Pete) Pietrowski; niece, Jess (Matt) Mason; niece, Anna Marie Slocum and family; nephew, Dan Slocum and family; nephew, Matt Slocum and family; sisters, Mary Beth Weber Sullivan and family, Margo (Mike) Morrisey and family; Eileen Weber Middleton and family; many nieces and nephews; cousins, Helen Moffet and Kathy Stanzel, Mary Lou and Joe Marcuzzo, Joe, Steve, Larry, and Jerry Seitz, all of Omaha, Nebraska. Predeceased by parents, Paul and Ethel Weber; in-laws, Jack and Mary Slocum; along with many aunts and uncles.
A visitation for JP will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 4pm-5pm for private family viewing, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for family and friends at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. A celebration of life will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials to the family.
