Gladys O. Davis (McCleery), of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Friday September 30th, 2022 at the age of 92. Gladys was born on September 19th, 1930 in Esbon, Kansas to John and Lona McCleery. Gladys grew up on a small farm in Kansas with her siblings: Lucille, Warren, Edna, and Jeanice. Gladys married Cecil L. Davis in 1953 and they were together for 54 years before he passed away in 2007. They had two children: Clifford Davis and Karen (Davis) Kennell. Gladys and Cecil spent their time living in Lincoln, Nebraska, Cedar Creek, Nebraska, and Sun City Center, Florida. While in Florida, Cecil and Gladys attended clown school and brought joy to others as professional clowns. Gladys loved to travel, cook and bake, garden, sew quilts, play cards, swim, listen to music on the jukebox, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, hard work ethic, and enthusiastic spirit. She always had a smile on her face and loved sharing her happiness with those around her.

Grandchildren: Jeffrey and Carrie Davis of Murphy, TX; Jennifer and Louis Braatz of Lincoln, NE; Julie Davis of Topeka, KS; Kari and Adam Zupancic of Lincoln, NE; Kelsey and Tyler Benes of Fargo, ND; and eight great-grandchildren.
