Bryan Everett Baker

Bryan Everett Baker of Lincoln Nebraska passed away on October 3rd after health complications. Bryan was born on July 14th 1952 in Shenandoah Iowa to father, Everett AI Baker and mother, Betty Elaine Baker. He grew up with two brothers and a sister. Bryan was baptized at the Christian Church in Unadilla Nebraska at the age of 14. Bryan married Helen Nelson in 1970 and that resulted in the births of Birkley E. and Brenda Sue. Bryan served in the Army from 1972 to 1976. During that time he was stationed in Nuremberg Germany, Berlin Germany and Korea. He was very proud of his military service. He enjoyed driving trucks and repairing vehicles. During his retirement years, Bryan was able to travel and spend winters in Arizona. He loved the happy hours and dances that happened at the campground he stayed at. Bryan would travel back to Nebraska during the summer months to spend time with family. During one summer he was able to drive Tristen and his buddy to many baseball games. Bryan enjoyed hearing about his grandchildren, watching westerns, attending auto shows, puffing on his pipe and hot weather. Bryan would look forward to having coffee with Randy every week and hanging out with Tristen in his garage helping him fix his truck. Every opportunity to visit with grandchildren was cherished.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Betty Baker. He is survived by his brothers, Randy married to Rheeta and Dennis, his sister Colleen married to Tim, his children Birkley married to Charity and Brenda married to Cody, his grandchildren Allen married to Julia, Newton married to Lucy, Adriana, Tristen married to Janna, Andrew, Constence, Wyatt and Lydia and three little great grand daughters, Ally, Lilly and Coral.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 4-7pm, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10am, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 12pm, at the Unadilla Cemetery in Unadilla, NE 68454. Full Military Honors will be performed at the Cemetery.
