Antonio Contreras, died on Dec. 5, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Born Oct. 3, 1925 in Kansas City, Kan. to Joseph P. & Theresa (Soto) Contreras. WWII veteran, mechanic. Worked at the railroad for a short time. Retired from the gas company after 35 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Benita (Villanueva) Contreras; his parents; three brothers, Ralph Hernandez, Leon Hernandez, Sammy Contreras; and one sister, Lorenza Garcia. Surviving are sisters, Candelaria Aguirre of Lincoln, Ramona Guajardo of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mary Contreras of Lincoln, Grace (Villanueva) Brown of Lincoln, Greta Villanueva of Lincoln. Also surviving are six children, Tony (Deb) Contreras, Minneapolis, Greg (Cyndi) Contreras, Lincoln, Monica (Mike) Tucker, Pearland, Texas, Annette (Mark) Hickson, Lincoln, Victoria (Joel) Luethje, Lincoln, Adrian (Mary) Contreras, Minneapolis. Grandchildren: Christopher (Nina) Vargas, Pearland, Elysia (Zach) Springer, Minneapolis, Nina (Felix) Soulie, South Korea, Baxter Luethje, Lincoln, Gabriel Vargas, Pearland, Emilio Vargas, Pearland, Brent Contreras, Minneapolis, Sam Contreras, Lincoln, Alexandra (Wayne) Hill, Bellevue, Cory Contreras, Lincoln, Andrew Contreras, Minneapolis, Tessa Contreras, Lincoln, Connor Luethje, Lincoln, Emma Contreras, Lincoln, Noah Contreras, Lincoln, Madelyn Hickson, Lincoln. Great granddaughter, Aundrea Hill, Bellevue. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Lincoln Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 2723 N. 50th St. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
