Ken was a kind, gentle man who was loved by his family: wife, Freddie; son, Ken; daughter, Carlene; granddaughter, Talia; and Freddie's family. He was a single dad who raised his children in Antioch. He enjoyed summers with them at Lake Tahoe.
Ken graduated from San Francisco State University and then went into the Air Force. During college, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service during the summers. He once held the record for hiking speed up Mt. Shasta and had a deep love for nature and the forest.
He worked at the Naval Weapons Station in Concord for several years. His next employment was for the Department of Energy, where he was a computer programmer. He retired after nineteen years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed writing haiku and poems.
Ken and Freddie met at a singles' group at church and lived in Antioch before trying a new venture: living in Colorado. As they got older and colder, they returned to California and settled in Lincoln Hills in 2015. Ken's mild cognitive impairment became Alzheimer's dementia and he passed away comfortably on
November 2, 2021. He lived a good life with no regrets.
