Robert Norman Norman Beeler

Robert Norman Beeler, age 84, passed away at Vancrest Healthcare Center on January 17, 2017. He was born on April 27, 1932 to Clarence R. and Elsie L. (Verbryke) Beeler. On September 17, 1955 he married Helen Mary Grube in Springfield, Ohio and she survives him.

He was a 1950 graduate of Elida High School, a member of the Shawnee Grange and Allen County Pomona Grange, a member of American Legion Post # 96, a member of the United Rubber workers #200, a volunteer at WTLW-TV, and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Elida.

He retired from Goodyear Rubber Company, St. Marys, Ohio. He was Korean War Army veteran. His military decorations and medals include, NDSM, UNSM, GCM, KSM, KOR and PUC.

Norman’s survivors include his four children, Beverly A. Reese of Newport, KY, Karen K. (Randy) Ryan of Hamilton, OH, Keith D. Beeler of Elida and Kathy L. (Brent) Kasler of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Michael A. Kasler, Melissa A. Kasler, Amy L. Ryan, James P. Ryan, R.J. (Megan) Ryan, Jr. and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: C. Everett Beeler, Forrest E. Beeler and LaVerne O. Beeler. He is also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Horace Reese, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Tumblin, officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove, Cemetery, Delphos, Ohio. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 1275.
