Marvin Messer, 69 died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Lake Wales Medical Center, Lake Wales, Florida. He was born June 4, 1943 in Kenton, Ohio to Hiram and Nora (Handshoe) Messer and they preceded him in death. He married C. Diane (Wells) Messer who survives him in Lima, Ohio.
He retired from Teledyne Ohio Steel in 1992 and became an investor in Real Estate. He was drafted into the Army in 1967 and received an honorable discharge in 1969. He loved his retirement home in Florida, enjoyed bass fishing and spending time with his son, Kyle, his family and many friends.
Survivors include a son, Kyle Marvin Messer of Lima, three brothers, Anthony and Timothy Messer of Lima and Gregory Messer of Florida; two sisters, Connie Murphy of Lima and Valessa Noone of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marvin, two sisters Jacqueline Jones and Bobbie Starr.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
There will be no visitation, as Marvin requested that his body be cremated.
