John, Jason and Brett…I am so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing, she loved her family dearly and will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her! I first remember Judy Elrod from church at Mt Pleasant years ago, she had the voice of an Angel; I loved hearing her sing one song in particular-“Just a closer walk with Thee”,  and then of course the ball field where we spent most of our spring and summers, cheering for our teams!

Judy loved her family, her community and her wonderful church.   She welcomed Andy and i to liberty and thankfully helped introduce me to many of the people I now know as friends.  She had that outgoing personality that naturally made newcomers welcome and accepted.  John know that our love goes out to  you and the boys.

James, Heather and I were very blessed to have had the honor to know Judy. She welcomed us at Liberty Friends from the first day and immediately, she entered our hearts forever. She was a beautiful light that shined bright on that pew each Sunday. She brought the church together and we found our family tightly knit in that little church, all thanks to Judy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this time of great sorrow. Judy will be greatly missed! She was so beautiful, inside and out. John and his siblings, Judy and her siblings, my siblings and myself, the Henry siblings, and the McAdams siblings all grew up in the same neighborhood.  Good times then. Remember when John and Judy got married and then had Jason and Brett.  It has been a Blessing for me to have known Judy and John most of my life. Judy was a awesome wife and mother and loved all  of her family so much. She  was such an inspiration to me. I will really miss seeing her and talking to her. She was loved by many. Judy loved you all so much, John since she was 10 years old.
Judy was a fantastic dancer and did it all ballet, tap, majorette and cheerleading through high School. 
She was beautiful, fun loving, artistic and extraordinarily kind.
She loved animals of all kinds.  The last time I spoke with her was when her beautiful bulldog Jazz passed.  She was heartbroken and thought her life had changed forever.  However later, Judy had decided upon another dog and was in the process of making it her own.
This made her happy along with her children, grandchildren and John who was by her side most of her life.  Judy will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

As I read this I still can’t believe it…..Prayers are being sent up for her family!  She was like a breath of fresh air!  Always positive!  She will be missed by all that knew her!❤️🙏🏻

We graduated high school with Judy and saw her around Liberty a lot. We are so sorry to hear of her passing.

Our condolences to the Elkins Family for the loss of their loved Judy.

The Bible clearly says that death is often due to “unexpected events.” —Ecclesiastes 9:11. In the near future, God’s Kingdom will rule over the entire earth. Once that happens, God’s Kingdom will bring the dead back to life. “All those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus’] voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29, and “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”—Isaiah 33:24.


My Prayers go out to John and her family. Judy will be missed at Liberty Friends. I didn't know her very long, but she was very sweet and always hands on when putting together events. Rest in His arms Judy.
