The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Loflin Funeral Home Chapel.
Gary was the son of the late Bobby Lee Staley and Louise Haithcox Staley.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Staley; sons, Gary Lee Staley, Jr., Brett Michael Hyler, Chandler Reid Hyler, Austin Matthew Hyler and Marty Byerly; daughters, Ginger Leigh Staley and Nathalie Byerly; grandchildren, Nicholas Bailey, Nicole Bailey, Cory Bailey, Adreanna Luffman, Hailey Carter, JoJo Staley, Spencer Callicutt, Kalli Carter, Emoree Hyler, Brayden Hyler, & Emma Hyler; and many great-grandchildren. Gary is also survived by his brothers, David Staley and Mike Staley; sister, Faye Staley; nieces, Kristi Staley, Michelle Loflin, Lacie Staley and Shannon Staley; and nephews, Cole Staley, Tony Harrelson and Sherry Harrelson.
