Our cherished Nikki was awarded her heavenly wings after a fierce battle with cancer. Words cannot express the impact Nikki made on so many lives. She owned every room she entered. Her smile, infectious laugh, she radiated love and happiness. No one could be unhappy with Nikki around—beautiful inside and out.
While we know she is no longer in pain, we know that we will never be the same again. The hole left by Nikki passing can never be filled.
Nikki was the hub in the wheel of our family. Her mother was also her friend, she was her father’s little girl. The apple of their eye, she IS very loved. A little sister to her brothers and the fun aunt to her nieces and nephews. Aunts, uncles and cousins doted on her.
When it came to her children, Nikki was their foundation. She offered them unconditional love. She was the one they trusted in the tough times and the good times. The one they could go to for all the answers. She worked extremely hard to get through school to provide them with the life she wanted them to have. She was proud of her children. A mama bear - fierce and loving.
When Nikki called you a friend, she meant it. She has lifelong friends that stood beside her until the end -many in the room as her spirit quietly left her body to be with Jesus - and her Grandma Ella.
Nikki’s favorite color was blue. She loved to laugh - I Love Lucy and the Golden Girls are some of her best-loved TV shows. She loved makeup and dressing up. Her brother Mark said she was “an old soul”. She loved her family. She loved her children. She loved her friends. Nikki will always be remembered for her love for others.
