Dollie Lee Smith Caviness

She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and loved her family. She was a member of Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Randleman.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC; burial will follow in Liberty Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Pearl York Smith and was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Darrell "Jeff" Jordan and step-son, James "Eddie" Caviness; great-granddaughter, Chloe Newbold; sisters, Donnie Ventress, Minnie Smith, Flora Warren, Erie Wright, and Vallie Andrews; and brothers, Guy Smith and Charlie Smith.

Dollie is survived by her husband, James Caviness; daughter, Gwen Robertson and her husband, Rob; step-sons, Steve Caviness, Cleve Caviness and Terry Caviness; granddaughter, Kristy Newbold; grandson, Shane Caviness; great-grandchildren, Ethan Caviness, John Paul Newbold, Dasha Newbold, Daniel Newbold, and Emma Cudd and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
