Jacqueline Jane (Brown) Williams, 60, of Kearney, Missouri, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday morning, December 8th, passing peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. While we grieve her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of Jesus, reunited with her father, Riley Brown, and experiencing eternal joy and peace.
Jacqueline, known to all who loved her as “Jackie,” was a true social butterfly who never met a stranger. Her warm smile and genuine care for others made everyone feel like family. She was a woman of deep faith, and her love for Jesus was the foundation of everything she did. Jackie lived out her faith through acts of kindness and generosity, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her heart was as big as her faith, and she found joy in serving those around her.
Jackie had a passion for singing and loved attending concerts and events, often sharing those experiences with her family and friends. She was known for her angelic soprano voice in the family’s gospel group, Sweet Spirit (she supplied “the high part” of the group’s delightful three-part harmonies). During many family gatherings, Jackie arranged spur-of-the-moment jam sessions and enthusiastically encouraged others to join in. She will be remembered for her radiant spirit, her zest for life, and her ability to brighten any room she entered. On the lighter side, Jackie was known for her encouraging Facebook posts, her use of quotation marks, her systematic couponing (“Hey, I have a coupon for that”), her love of thrifting, and her ability to brighten a friend’s or relative’s day with the perfect little gift.
Jackie was the beloved wife of Larry Williams for 32 years, and together they built a home filled with love and faith. She was a devoted mother to Kennedie Pember and Kacey Williams. Jackie’s role as a mother, sister, and friend was equally cherished, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and grace that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Jackie’s faith in Christ was evident in every aspect of her life. She loved her family deeply, and her compassion for others was a reflection of her strong Christian values. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is with Jesus now, and they hold on to the promise of eternal life through Him.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Larry Williams, Kearney, MO; her mother, Jean Brown, Liberty, MO; children Kennedie (Grant) Pember, Odessa, MO, and Kacey (Caitlin) Williams, Kearney, MO; her siblings Debbie (Joe) Calvert, Lora (Stan) Selix, Kirk (Heidi) Brown, Ward (Michelle) Brown, Amy (Mark) Muller, Bil (Valerie) Brown, Brandie (Phil) Santefort and Sherri Tholl; her mother-in-law, Vida Williams; her brother-in-law Kenney (Susan) Williams; as well as other relatives and many close friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Riley Brown, and her father-in-law, Kenneth Williams.
We are so grateful for the love, prayers, and support we’ve received during this time. Please continue to lift our family up in prayer as we navigate this difficult journey, knowing that Jackie is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
